A Bridge to a View:
Sleeping Giant

Located in the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, the bridge displays the strength of steel. The arch bridge spans 80 meters across Marie Louise Lake which allows for various viewing opportunities for tourists and hikers. The offset platforms within the bridge allow viewers to not only see the depth of the canyon between the connecting mountains but to also feel the journey to the higher platform. The two curved pathways allow for different views as one faces the Marie Louise Lake while the other view focuses on the ravine. The middle platform centralizes the canyon and provides viewers with the opportunity to observe the immense depth. Moreover, the viewers are confronted with not only the beauty of the canyon but also the vast strength of the celebrated material, steel.
