A Canoe: Museum

Inspired by the craftsmanship and fabrication that goes into building a canoe, the approach of my design was derived from the process of creating. To many, a canoe is only acknowledged for its finished product. However, this is a glorified feature compared to my experience. Through the process of creating one, I have learned to appreciate the process of making. This aspect is overlooked, and a museum serves to showcase canoes must address that. The museum is designed with idea of the intimate relationship of canoe making in its integrated structure, material choice and overall tectonics as a basis for development.
