Politics and Resources Through the Lense of Socialism

Alicia Kempenaar

Tensions rise as the planet’s remaining resources dwindle. The public has lost faith in their leaders as the government continues to exploit the planet and fails to address the urgency of climate change. The public takes matters into their own hands, and a revolution begins. the powers that be turn against their people, fighting to hold onto their influence. Ultimately, the rebels’ collective action triumphed, and the world as we know it has been turned upside down. Formal governments have fallen out of power, buildings destroyed, and metropolises have turned to ash. Only the skeletal remains of our cities and small remnants serve as reminders of our past life. Now the survivors must pick up the pieces and work together to salvage our world. They dream of a new age where the planet has healed, and citizens can prosper as equals, vowing never to return to our past mistakes.
