About the Artist

For the past 20 years, Toronto Photographer William Oldacre, has created and exhibited photographs that deconstruct the urban, architectural view, into foundation elements of motion, colour rhythm, and pattern. His fascination with our perception of time and memory in the company of music has led to an amalgam, presenting past and present together quietly incorporating emotion and childlike wonder at the world.

About the Works

Sidelong represents the emotion of urban life – as we exist, flourish and contribute through our actions to the patina of the city. The city is in essence a dynamic synergy of structure and occupant, presented as form and movement, rhythm and pattern. Sidelong is the city viewed from the corner of your eye.
